BTS Reunion Imminent: SUGA Set for Military Discharge on June 21
The Final Homecoming
After 21 months of mandatory service, SUGA (Min Yoongi) will complete his social work duty on June 21, 2025,
officially reuniting BTS as a full group. As the last member to fulfill
South Korea’s military requirement, his discharge marks a historic
milestone—ending the group’s 2.5-year hiatus.
A Quiet Farewell to Duty
BigHit Music confirmed no official events will be held for SUGA’s discharge, urging fans to avoid the site: "Overcrowding poses safety risks. Please convey your warm regards in your hearts." This aligns with the low-key discharges of fellow members RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
Service with Strength
SUGA served as a social work agent—an alternative role accommodating his prior shoulder injury—since September 22, 2023. His role, though non-combat, carried the same weight of national duty.
ARMY’s Heartfelt Wait
In a recent voice message, SUGA shared: "I’ve been spending my time waiting for the day I get to see you again. I miss you so much." BigHit echoed gratitude for fans’ "unwavering love," pledging full support for the group’s post-military chapter.
What’s Next for BTS?
With all seven members discharged, focus shifts to their full-group comeback. J-Hope hinted at this during his Seoul concert: "Please wait just a little longer. We will return with a really cool performance."
The Final Countdown
June 21 closes BTS’s military era. As BigHit stated: "We are excited to bring you this news." The world now awaits OT7’s return.
